What does a day on retreat look like?

The daily retreat schedule changes each day but a rough guideline:

7am - 8am

8.00am - 11.00am:

11.00am - 12.00pm:

A light breakfast and herbal tea

Group Rounding: 2 - 3 Rounds (this involves yoga asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises),
meditation and a ten minute lie down)

Group Meditation and check-in with the Laurens

Lunch and free time to have a sauna, outdoor bath, go for a walk, chat with other meditators in the sun or have a mentoring session with the Laurens

Afternoon Knowledge Meeting with the Laurens

Group Rounding: 3 - 4 Rounds

Dinner and free time to have a swim, go for a walk, chat with other meditators by the fire or have a mentoring session with the Laurens

Evening Knowledge Meeting with the Laurens

Retire to your room for the night to sleep and rest

✨ Meditate as part of a group, guided step-by-step through each Rounding session—you won’t need to remember a thing or go it alone

✨ Apart from a twice-daily check in to see how your meditation programme and experiences are going, there is no talk therapy or group sharing, though you are welcome to share anything with the Laurens that you need to

✨ You may notice some fatigue releasing early on, but by the end of the retreat, you’ll feel lighter, clearer, and more energised

✨ This weekend is all about deep rest—so it’s a perfect time to pause any intense exercise and enjoy gentle movement through Rounding and leisurely walks

✨ Leave the books, work, and screens at home. While you'll have a chance to check in with family daily, we encourage minimal outside contact to help you fully settle into the retreat space

✨ Take a mindful break from coffee, wine, and alcohol to support your body’s natural reset

✨ Most importantly, this is your time for you—to recharge, restore, and refill your own cup.

The retreat investment per person is $2050 for a queen room, with own bathroom.

Brackenridge Cottages

We will be staying in the beautiful Brackenridge Cottages, These are two bedroom, 2 bathroom cottages, complete with their own lounge, fireplace and kitchen.

What’s Included:

  • 3 nights accommodation (commencing 5:00pm Thursday 16 October, and concluding at 11.30am on Sunday 19 October 2025)

  • Wholesome vegetarian meals and herbal teas throughout the weekend

  • Rounding instruction and guidance throughout the retreat

  • Three daily check-ins and knowledge meetings with the Laurens

  • A daily gentle walk in nature

  • A 20 minute mentoring session with one of the Laurens during the retreat


Not included: flights and transfers to and from the retreat are not included in the retreat price. The journey from Wellington airport takes about an hour and a half depending on traffic so please factor this in before booking your flight in order to arrive on time (5.00pm on Thursday 16 October) and be able to stay till the end of the retreat which closes at 11.30am on Sunday 19 October.

 
 

Payment Schedule

To book a room you will need to pay a $500 non-refundable booking fee.

The second retreat payment of $775 is due 1 September 2025.

The third retreat payment of $775 (or $765 if you have booked with the early bird discount) is due 29 September 2025.

All retreat payments are non-refundable and non-transferable without exception.
